Seminar: The Fate of Tigers and the Status of Endangered Species Conservation in Vietnam

On the occasion of International Tiger Conservation Day (29/7), People and Nature Reconciliation (PanNature) in cooperation with WCS organized the seminar “The Fate of Tigers and the Status of Endangered Species Conservation in Vietnam” in order to review and discuss on-going wildlife conservation efforts in Vietnam and to identify constraints, challenges, prospects and opportunities for the future.

Economic Development Associated With Social Security

VRG has actively cooperated with a number of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) such as PanNature, Oxfam in Vietnam and UN-REDD+ Vietnam to survey several member companies in Laos, Cambodia that aim to build and apply "Guidelines for voluntary risk reduction in agricultural investment abroad" VRG is also trying to cooperate with some other NGOs on re-issuing FSC certificates.

Speaking at the discussion organised by MEC and the People and Nature Reconciliation ( PanNature), lawyer Tr?n Thu Nam said that there had neither been sanctions nor punishments for State agencies that did not publicise food-relating violations on their websites.

PanNature on Hanoi TV

PanNature was featured on Hanoi TV on the International Day for Biological Diversity, 22 May 2012. Three senior staff shared their thoughts and perspectives on conservation and environmental protection work that PanNature is carrying out.

Awareness Assessment of Coastal Zone Management and General Environmental Issues in Soc Trang

PanNature is working with the GTZ project to assess level of awareness and understanding of sustainable coastal zone management and general environmental issues of different stakeholders of the project. In addition to carrying out field assessment in three districts of Soc Trang province, PanNature also train staff of the district project teams on assessment techniques and data analysis skills.

Ha Noi Youth Pedal for Environmental Protection

Every Sunday at 7.30am, volunteers for PYNet, which stands for Network Promoting Youth to Act for Community and Develop-ment, gather at the Ly Thai To monument to start their cycling tour around Ha Noi. Since the project got rolling in September, with support from People and Nature Reconciliation (PanNature) and Ban Tay Viet Limited Co, enthusiastic volunteers from all over the country have been participating.
