Every Dong Matters: It’s time the Vietnamese public joined hands for the conservation of nature.

With the widespread of the Internet, mobile applications, and online banking, online donation is now quite convenient for many Vietnamese. Several local companies have pioneered in developing platforms for online donation for domestic customers. PanNature has received great support from major local platforms to pilot online crow fundraising, including Momo, GiveNow, and ThienNguyen (a service of the Military Bank). 

Environmental Volunteerism on the Rise in Vietnam

NGOs like Pan Nature continue to be engaged in World Environment Day by planting trees in Van Ho Commune in Son La, where the population of Northern white-cheeked gibbon lives and the endangered rare Northern white-cheeked gibbon. Awareness Survey and Assessment on the Environment and Coastal Natural Resource Management of Soc Trang Province

PanNature was selected to implement the activity “Assessment about the awareness of coastal zone management and general environmental awareness in Soc Trang Province”. From 5-20 May 2008, three PanNature researchers worked in cooperation with project counterpart staff at the province, district and commune levels to carry out assessment activities in Soc Trang City and the districts of Cu Lao Dung, Vinh Chau and Long Phu. This technical report presents the results of the field survey. It describes the local awareness on environmental issues and management of coastal resources of different target groups of Soc Trang Province.

Awareness Assessment of Coastal Zone Management and General Environmental Issues in Soc Trang

PanNature is working with the GTZ project to assess level of awareness and understanding of sustainable coastal zone management and general environmental issues of different stakeholders of the project. In addition to carrying out field assessment in three districts of Soc Trang province, PanNature also train staff of the district project teams on assessment techniques and data analysis skills.
