Vietnam Airlines took part in SkyTeam’s The Aviation Challenge

On the special flight, Vietnam Airlines conducted various activities to raise awareness and promote environmental protection among passengers. The passengers were also presented with a special gift: a plush toy representing the critically endangered white-cheeked gibbon (Nomascus leucogenys) - one of the world’s rarest primate species. This gesture aligns with the "Contribute Leaves to the Forests - For a Green and Sustainable Vietnam" campaign.

Reforestation, early zoning of landslide risk areas to adapt to natural disasters

Mr. Trinh Le Nguyen, Director of People and Nature Reconciliation (PanNature), shared grim news with the media, stressing that Vietnam has lost many once-pristine natural areas, often regarded as 'paradises on earth'. This transformation serves as a costly lesson about human responsibility. “Forests have been cut down for agricultural land, and unsustainable resource exploitation has drastically reduced biodiversity, disrupted ecosystems and degraded the environment,” he said.

Strengthening Conservation Communication Across Southeast Asia

In an exciting milestone for conservation communication, PanNature recently participated in the CEPF Communication Training, a transformative event that brought together representatives from six countries across Southeast Asia and China. Held from September 7th to 11th, the training was a comprehensive program designed to bolster communication skills among civil society organizations working in environmental conservation.

Growing Sustainability: Shared Journey to FSC Certification

PanNature is proud to share an important achievement in the realm of sustainable forestry in Vietnam. Dak Lak Rubber One Member Limited Liability Company (Dakruco) has earned the prestigious FSC FM (Forest Management) and FSC CoC (Chain of Custody) certifications from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) for over 1,100 hectares of rubber forest. This recognition marks a significant advancement in the sustainable management of Vietnam's rubber plantations.
