30 Tour Operators and Travel Agencies Pledged to Protect Vietnam’s Nature and Wildlife

Representatives from 30 tour operators and travel agencies signed a pledge to support responsible tourism, nature conservation, and wildlife protection during the training workshop "Responsible Tourism in Support of Nature and Wildlife Conservation”. The event was co-organized by People and Nature Reconciliation (PanNature) and the Responsible Tourism Club (RTC) at Cat Tien National Park from 11 to 12 December 2020.

Data and the untold stories

Vien Dang Cong, a technical officer at WWF-Vietnam, had never taken a data-related course before. So, the Data Literacy Training organized by the Open Development Initiative (ODI) in collaboration with the People and Nature Reconciliation (PanNature) was his first exposure to data science. The training was held in two, one-week phases in July and October 2020 in Quang Ninh and Hanoi, Viet Nam.

Recommendations for VPA/FLEGT Monitoring and Evaluation Mechanism

On August 14, 2020, at the People and Nature Reconciliation (PanNature) office, representatives of RECOFTC Vietnam, WWF Vietnam (participating online), and PanNature had a meeting with the VPA/FLEGT  Monitoring and Evaluation advisory group to provide recommendations on the development of the draft framework.
