PanNature Hosts Graduate Students from Chulalongkorn University for Learning Exchange
On March 2, PanNature welcomed a group of 30 graduate students and lecturers from the Graduate Program in International Development Studies at the Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University for a learning and exchange session on the role of non-profit sector in environmental sustainability.
The session was led by Mr. Trinh Le Nguyen, Director of PanNature, who introduced the organization’s mission, vision, and overall approach to promoting nature conservation and sustainable development in Vietnam. The presentation also highlighted the role of non-profit organizations in improving environmental governance, strengthening transparency in natural resource management, and supporting community participation in conservation efforts.
During the session, students were introduced to several initiatives implemented by PanNature, including the Grassroots Conservation Grant Program, which supports community-based conservation initiatives, conservation and ecological restoration projects in the Northern Mountains and Central Highlands. The visit concluded with an engaging Q&A session between the students and PanNature representatives. The discussion gave students the opportunity to ask questions about the practical challenges of conservation work, the role of non-profit sector in environmental governance in Vietnam, and opportunities for community-driven approaches to sustainable development.
The exchange provided insights for the students and created a space for open dialogue between academia and practitioners working in the fields of conservation and development. PanNature continues to welcome opportunities to connect with students and researchers from the region and beyond, fostering shared learning and collaboration for environmental sustainability.
