Policy Review Quarter III/2012, English Edition

Policy Bulletin No.7, published by PanNature, updates and reflects policy issues newly issued, discussed, and drafted during the third quarter of 2012.

Part of this Newsletter introduces the study of PanNature on the concerns of Vietnamese commercial banks regarding the environmental and social aspects of credit operations. According to this study, one of the barriers to implementing environmental and social responsibility in credit activities is that some large banks are still hesitant to take the lead alone. Currently, only Sacombank has built a credit risk management system concerning the environment and society. Accordingly, projects are classified based on the level of impact on the environment.
