On the Earth Day (April 22, 2026), the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines officially launched the \u201cGreen Alliance for Sustainable Development\u201d (Green Alliance), marking a significant step in synchronizing ESG initiatives with international standards. The event brought together representatives from government agencies, international organizations, and partners engaged in sustainable development efforts.<\/p>\n

Initiated by Vietnam Airlines, the Green Alliance is a voluntary partnership model that unites domestic and international stakeholders to advance sustainable development efforts. The Alliance promotes a balanced development approach in which economic growth is harmonized with the responsibility to environment, society, and future generations.<\/p>\n

The Green Alliance aligns its activities with three ESG pillars \u2013 environmental, social, and governance \u2013focusing on reducing emissions, improving quality of life, and promoting responsible governance practices.<\/p>\n

PanNature is one of 18 members participating in the Green Alliance. Since 2024, PanNature has collaborated with Vietnam Airlines and MoMo to implement the \u201cLeaves for Forest Restoration\u201d initiative. The program has restored over 150 hectares of forest through the planting of 95,000 native trees. By providing technical support, implementation, and monitoring, PanNature integrates this initiative into its long-term \u201cGreening the Forests\u201d program (Rung Xanh Len).<\/p>\n

Launched by PanNature in 2022, the \u201cGreening the Forests\u201d initiative aims to restore 500 hectares of natural forest corridor connecting Mai Chau (Hoa Binh) and Van Ho (Son La) over a 10-year period (2022\u20132032). This forest belt is a vital \u201cgreen lung\u201d of Northwest Vietnam and an important habitat for the endangered white-cheeked gibbon and many endemic species. To date, the project has been restoring severely degraded forest areas, contributing to forest quality and carbon sequestration, creating habitats for numerous wildlife species, and enhancing the livelihoods of local communities.<\/p>\n

Participation in the Green Alliance is expected to further scale these efforts, amplifying the impact of forest restoration and biodiversity conservation initiatives across the region.<\/p>\n
