On June 21, 2021, People and Nature Reconciliation (PanNature) in cooperation with the Asian Turtle Program of Indo-Myanmar Conservation (ATP\/IMC) and Humane Society International -Vietnam (HSI in Viet Nam) officially launched the Art Contest: Let’s Save Turtles, creating an open and creative space for the public to share information and knowledge about turtle species and raise public awareness of turtle conservation.<\/p>\n

Under the theme \u201cLet\u2019s Save Turtles\u201d, contestants convey their feelings and thoughts about the current status and threats to the turtles’ survival; condemn illegal acts of buying, selling, and \u201cconsuming\u201d turtles; or express their recommendations, dreams, and aspirations towards turtle conservation in Vietnam.<\/p>\n

About the Asian Turtle Program of Indo-Myanmar Conservation<\/strong>
\nThe Asian Turtle Program (ATP) was established in 1998, with the aim of establishing a safe and sustainable future for Asian turtles, and ensuring that no further turtle species become extinct in the region. The ATP activities include research, conservation, community communication, training, rescue, release, and policy advocacy. Since its formation, the ATP has concentrated its efforts on Vietnam\u2019s priority species including those which are critically endangered or endemic, and with conservation value, on a global scale. In 2015, the ATP was incorporated into Indo-Myanmar Conservation, a not-for-profit corporation registered in the United Kingdom to facilitate greater scope for the research and conservation of additional taxa.<\/p>\n
