{"id":2969,"date":"2018-08-30T16:31:07","date_gmt":"2018-08-30T09:31:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nature.org.vn\/en\/?p=2969"},"modified":"2018-08-30T17:07:48","modified_gmt":"2018-08-30T10:07:48","slug":"gender-equality-and-social-inclusion-in-flegt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nature.org.vn\/en\/gender-equality-and-social-inclusion-in-flegt\/","title":{"rendered":"Gender Equality and Social Inclusion in FLEGT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On August 30, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/PanNature\/\">PanNature<\/a> in collaboration with RECOFTC Vietnam and WWF Vietnam organized the Seminar on <em>Gender Equality and Social Inclusion in Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT): Policy Prospects and Implications <\/em>in Hanoi.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>The objectives of this seminar are to: <\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>(i) identify gender and social issues to be addressed in relation to FLEGT VPA,<\/li>\n<li>(ii) identify activities through which gender and social issues have been (and can be) addressed in Vietnam\u2019s FLEGT VPA, and<\/li>\n<li>(iii) identify opportunities challenges, and pathways to greater integration of activities that addresses gender and social issues in FLEGT VPA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The seminar was attended by about 25 delegates, including representatives from EU Delegation in Vietnam, Vietnam Administration of Forestry (VNFOREST), The Vietnam\u00a0Forest\u00a0Protection and Development\u00a0Fund\u00a0(VNFF) and relevant VNGOs.<\/p>\n<p>The event is a part\u00a0of the project &#8220;Strengthening Non-state actors\u2019 Voices for Improved Forest Governance in the Mekong Region (EU-NSA Mekong)&#8221;
