The Board of Governance oversees activities of PanNature and ensures that the organization’s operation and implementation is effective, transparent and accountable. Board activities mainly focus on aspects of strategic planning, policy formulation, evaluation of the overall performance of the organization, appraisal and assessment of performance and capacity of the Executive Director.

The Board consists of respected members who share their passion, common interests and are willing to contribute ideas to create a favorable environment for the operation and development of PanNature.

Dr To Xuan PhucDr. To Xuan Phuc
Having a Ph.D degree from the Humboldt University Berlin (Germany) with specialization in resource governance, Dr. To Xuan Phuc is an expert in forestry and timber trade in Vietnam. Dr. Phuc has conducted a number of studies on forest resources in relation to national policies and livelihoods in many parts of Vietnam and in the Mekong sub-region. He is currently serving as a Senior Advisor for Forest Trends and a Research Fellow at the Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University.
Mr Nguyen TrungMr. Nguyen Trung
Mr. Nguyen Trung was a diplomat, former ambassador to Vietnam in Thailand and Germany. He was the Secretary General of the Foreign Economic Relations Council of the Government and an assistant to the late Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet. He was also a member of the Foreign Economic Research Team of Former Prime Minister Phan Van Khai and a former member of the Institute for Development Studies (IDS).
Mrs Pham Kieu OanhMrs. Pham Kieu Oanh
Mrs. Pham Kieu Oanh is the founder and CEO of the Center for Social Initiatives Promotion (CSIP). She is a pioneer and expert in the field of social enterprise development, child protection and women’s rights. Mrs. Oanh is one of the co-founders of the ASEAN Social Entrepreneurship Network, a member of the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network, founder of the Vietnam Social Entrepreneurs Club. For the past 20 years, she has held various positions in state-owned enterprises, international non-governmental organizations and UN agencies.
Dr Le Hoang LanDr. Le Hoang Lan
Dr. Le Hoang Lan is a member of Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment. Dr. Lan has been an independent consultant on environmental impact assessment and environmental communication since 2006. Prior to that, she held various positions at the General Department of Petroleum, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Science and Technology and as a lecturer at the Hanoi University of Technology.
Mr Tran Manh ChienMr. Tran Manh Chien
Mr. Tran Manh Chien graduated with a Master’s degree in Agricultural Management from Larenstein University (Netherlands) in 2004. Mr. Chien worked as a consultant for international NGOs such as DANIDA, GRET, and CIAT to improve the quality of food for the Vietnamese people and market development. He is the founder of VinaGAP Vietnam Ltd and the chain of food stores under the brand name “Uncle Tom”. Currently, he is a member of the coordinating committee of the Organic Agriculture Project (ADDA/Denmark), consultant with PSARD (Helvetas), CARE and Oxfam, and the ambassador of the program “Nutrition and Health “, Van Hall University Larenstein, Netherlands.
