PanNature

Before establishing PanNature, Nguyen was one of the founders and Program Director of Education for Nature – Vietnam (ENV), a leading Vietnamese environmental education non-profit. Nguyen was involved in, and initiated, many environmental education and natural resource management projects throughout Vietnam during his time working in ENV and Fauna and Flora International (FFI). Nguyen also served as a member of the Advisory Group of the Sida (Swedish International Development Agency) Environment Fund in Vietnam during 2006 -  2008.

Dung joined PanNature after completing his M.Sc studies in Human Ecology in Belgium. He was the senior environmental education program officer of WWF Indochina and involved in many natural resource management projects throughout Vietnam. Dung also co-authored a series of publications on environmental education and communication in Vietnamese and English.

Hoang Xuan Thuy has been involved in many conservation initiatives throughout Vietnam. He was a researcher in the Owston's Civet Conservation Program in Cuc Phuong National Park before joining PanNature. Thuy has intensive experience in working with local communities, forest rangers, and managers of protected areas.

Thuy is on temporary leave from June 2009 until early 2011.

Sinh joined PanNature since April 2008. Before that time, he was the Vice Director of Hanoi Heat – Refrigeration Co. Ltd. and Vice Director of Dan Phu Si Company. Sinh also served as Vice Chairman of Da Nang Sub-Association of Disable Youth (2005 – 2008 term).

Trang graduated from Hanoi Agricultural University. Since her start with PanNature in early 2006, Trang involved in field environmental education and training projects in Cat Ba National Park, Thua Thien – Hue, Tuyen Quang, and Lao Cai. She has also involved in field assessment of community awareness and behaviors on natural resources in Chu Yang Sin National Park (Dak Lak province). Trang moved to work with the Finance and Administration Department recently.

Ms. Linh joined PanNature in late 2006. Linh gained intensive experience in environmental communication and media during her time working for Education for Nature – Vietnam (ENV) as the Resource Development Officer. She co-authored a series of Green Forest magazine for school children and other environmental education publications of ENV. Currently, Linh is responsible for the Communications Department at PanNature and managing the editorial team of ThienNhien.Net.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Hang joined PanNature in late 2008 after almost five years working as an editor and translator in the Center for East-West Cultures and Languages. She is now working with the Editorial Team of PanNature’s environmental news website ThienNhien.Net.

Hai started fresh with PanNature right after finishing her B.Sc in Environmental Studies in Hanoi University of Natural Sciences. She is currently working as a science editor for the news website ThienNhien.Net.

Phuong graduated with a B.Sc degree in Landscape Design and Horticulture from Ho Chi Minh City University of Agro-forestry. She joined the Editorial Board of ThienNhien.Net since mid-2007 as an intern. She was then promoted to be a full-time staff of PanNature.

After finishing her undergraduate degree in linguistics in the University of Social Sciences and Humanity (Hanoi National University) in 2006, Ms. Huong had worked with several communication companies. She joined the Communication Department of PanNature in October 2009 as an editor of the news website ThienNhien.Net.

Mr. Tran Dinh Ha finished his undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Social Sciences and Humanity (Hanoi National University) in 2007. After graduation, he had almost three years working in Dien Bien Phu Newspaper, Muong Ang District People’s Committee (Dien Bien province), and then Sao Phuong Dong Company. Mr. Ha started working with PanNature in October 2009.

Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Thuy has started working in the Environmental Policy Program of PanNature since November 2009 after seven years of experience in the Center for Environmental Protection and Chemical Safety of the Institute of Industrial Chemistry. Ms. Thuy got her B.Sc degree in Food Engineering from Hanoi University of Technologies in 2002. She finished her M.Sc in Environmental Engineering and Management in Asian Institute of Technology (Bangkok, Thailand) in 2008.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai Van graduated from the Department of Environmental Science of Hanoi National University of Natural Sciences. She joined PanNature in September 2008, right after her graduation from university. Van currently works with the Environmental Policy Research Team with intensive focus on studying and analysing contemporary laws and lesgilation on environmental protection and natural resources in Vietnam.

Mr. Phan Van Kien started working with the Environmental Policy Program of PanNature in July 2009. Before that, he had worked in the Institute of Biotechnology and then the Centre for Marinelife Conservation and Community Development (MCD). Kien got his engineer degree in fishery from Vinh University in 2007.

Mr. Nguyen Duc To Luu got his B.Sc in Agriculture (major in Soil Science and Agrochemistry) and M.Sc in Agriculture (Diploma with honours, major in Soil Biology) in Moscow State University, Russia. In addition, he also got his B.A (major in English) from Hanoi University for Foreign Studies. Mr. Luu has nearly 15 years of experience working in different organizations, including Post-Harvest Technology Institute, Center for Plant Biotechnology, Central Forest Seed Company, and Trading House Rollton (Moscow, Russia) before joining PanNature in November 2009. He is currently a member of the International Conifer Conservation Program and Hanoi Horticulture's Association.

Ms. Sam Thi Thanh Phuong gradated from University of Natural Sciences of Hanoi National University with B.Sc degree in Environmental Science in 2002. She joined PanNature in June 2009 after seven years working with the Vietnam National Park and Protected Area Association.

Mr. Bui Van Thuc got his engineer degree in Forest Resources and Environment Management from Vietnam University of Forestry in 2008. He has started working in PanNature’s field project office in Hang Kia – Pa Co Nature Reserve (Hoa Binh province) since November 2009. Before joining PanNature, Mr. Thuc had over one year working in the InnovGreen Corp, Ltd.

Mr. Ha Cong Liem has worked in PanNature’s field project office in Hang Kia – Pa Co Nature Reserve since early 2009. Before that, Liem worked in Dai Sy Investment and Technology Company as a computer technical staff. He graduated from Hanoi Technical and Profession College in 2008.

Luan involved in conservation and environmental education work soon after he graduated from Vinh University. Since 1999, he has worked with several organizations and projects, including the EU-funded Social Forestry and Nature Conservation Project in Nghe An province, Forest Protection and Watershed Management Project in Nghe An, and Biodiversity Conservation in the North Truong Son Mountain Range Project. Luan recently joined PanNature after his work in Pu Mat Nature Reserve, Nghe An.

Mr. Dau Ngoc Cong got his B.Sc in Environmental Science from Hanoi University of Agriculture in 2008. Before joining PanNature in July 2009, he had worked in the Land Management of Le Chi Commune (Gia Lam District, Hanoi) and then the Center for Agricultural Research and Ecological Studies (CARES) of Hanoi University of Agriculture.
